| Installation | Q: GSEInstall don't connect | |
| A: Open GSEinstall.log in the same folder. If the "proxy" name is not correct and "port" too. Open the file "network.ini" and insert exact data. Run again GSEInstall.

| Q: I receive an database error! | ||
| A: Search BDEAdmin (see picture 1) and start software With "..."(see picture 2), normally in "Programs\Common File\Borland Shared\BDE\..." button search ...\Screws2000\Database and push "Apply" button Close and start Screws2000 If the error is "Error reading database" in Vista you must open BDEAdmin, select NET DIR in "Configuration", Drivers, Native, Paradox then modify it for example in c:\programs file or other folder.Then push "Apply" button or in "Objects" menu and close BDEAdmin. May be BDEAdmin crash but in this case close the program with "cross" button or Ctrl+Alt+Del. May be you must modify the registry too: -In the folder Windows start Regedit.exe -Right click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland -Then permission -Set full control for "Users" | ||
| Q: I install the software as "Administrator", the user can't access to the software! | ||
| A: As administrator export from Regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GSE Sas then as user run the file reg.

| Q: I can't remove Screws2000 why? | ||
| A: Try with "Control panel" then "Install/remove application". When terminated cancel all folders with Screws2000 name. Open Windows/WinNT folder and start "Regedit.exe". Search HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/GSE sas then remove GSE sas folder.

| Q: I removed 2.3 version and installed 3.3 but the software start and disappear ! | ||
| A: See properties of Screws2000.exe and set compatibility to Windows NT or 2000.

| A: Before you must verify if the inquiry is relative to a fastener near normative institute. If existing is sufficient to sent us a e-mail, we will provide to add this standard.

| Q: from GSE sas to Doct. Hellwig (DIN-ISO-CEN) Dear Doct. Hellwig, Regularly we receive questions concerning DIN 7505 (chipboard screws) but we don't find data on your web site for this standard! In our hand we have a document dated 1988 explaining this standard. What is the story of this standard? This document is valid? | ||
| A: from Doct. Hellwig to GSE sas Dear Mr. Greborio, The work on the draft on chipboard screws was stopped since it was not possible to come to an agreement. Therefore, the document which you mentioned is no longer valid.

| Report | Q: When I use Report module my selected standard drawing overwrite a old drawing. Why? | |
| A: You have saved before the sheet "Report.xls" with same name. Open this file with Excel, cancel the drawing and save. Change attribute of Report.xls in "Read Only" thus the original file will be protect.

| Q: When I close Report module all functions are blocked. Why? | ||
| A: Screws2000 don't know if you are using Report for this reason we block all functions. Select another standard and all functions will be available

| Q: With version 3.2 the drawing is very big! | ||
| A: Resolving the size of bitmap format we have modified the WMF proportion too. Open Excel and find Report.xls in "Instruments" select "Macro" and "Modify". Start Screws2000, Select a standard then "Create report". Close Excel and "Report". Not close Screws2000. Open Excel and find Report.xls. In "Tools" select "Macro" and "Modify InsertDrawing" Change b/value according your screen size and definition. You can accelerate the drawing research in .LookIn value. For example writing c:\program files\screws2000\ For OpenOffice ver. 2.0 apply same procedure and modify

| Q: How can I customize the reports? | ||
| A: Open Excel, search and open Report.xls. Change the logo, the address and the texts you want to change. Save with the same name. In the Screws2000 Directory open the file "Tools.ini". You can bind every value symbolic to a measure tool, Es: k = micrometer. These links will be visualized in the column " Gauge ", not to eliminate the file or to erase [ Tools ] all the rest can be taken away.

| A: In Screws2000 save on disk your drawing in WMF format. In Autocad import the drawing then select it and use the "Explode" command for separate all items.
